After living with cancer, the loss of a spouse, disordered eating, and an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, I went from simply surviving to thriving.
I can help you...
explore a healthy diet and lifestyle...
incorporate gentle movement into your life...
develop good sleep hygiene for restful and rejuvenating sleep...
navigate serious health issues such as cancer, eating disorders, and limited mobility...
cope with mental health issues such as grief, substance abuse, and loneliness...
cut back on or quit drinking, using drugs, or smoking...
develop a work/life balance and manage stress...
declutter your space, your calendar, your electronics, and your life of things that aren't serving you...
work on your relationships...
examine other physical and mental health issues that hold you back from happiness and peace...
so you can be free and live your best life!!!!
NEW: Coaching for Faculty Members and Higher Education Professionals
Having been a university faculty member and administrator for over two decades, I can help you with the unique challenges that face higher education professionals. From finding a job, to navigating the tenure process, to looking toward retirement as a senior faculty member, or to making a career change, I want to hear about your challenges and goals!
I would be honored to partner with you on your journey! Here is what you will receive from me:
A personalized health plan to seek out and live your best life.
A safe and completely confidential space, free of judgment, to talk about anything on your mind.
A shoulder to lean on and a coach to cheer you on your path toward living the life you have always wanted!
An ally in someone who has survived cancer, the loss of a spouse, disordered eating, and an unhealthy relationship with alcohol.
Someone with personal experience in turning around poor health to help motivate you.
Lots of helpful resources about improving your physical and mental health overall, alcohol and/or drug-free living, and eating disorder recovery. I gave up alcohol three years ago and haven't looked back!

What Does a Wellness Coach Do?
Here are some of the main differences between a coach and a therapist or medical professional. For example, I:
can practice anywhere and do not need a specific state license.
do not prescribe or diagnose.
look at the whole person and not just symptoms.
can be contacted 24/7.
put YOU in control of your own health. You know what works for you. I just help you come up with strategies that work in your unique situation.
do not tell you "what to do" and I do not "fix" you. First of all, you are not broken. I am here for support and accountability. If your plan is not working, we work together to change it!!!!!
provide resources that might be helpful for you.
am first and foremost, an educator, and I can help you develop important life skills.
